Elegant Styled Wedding Shoot at The Morris Arboretum
On cold winter days like today, I would love to be one of those lucky brides-to-be who is in the throes of planning a mid-summer wedding. If you are one of these fortunate ladies, this elegant styled shoot, arranged and beautifully captured by Monique Cara Photography, is full of wedding inspiration for you!
Philadelphia has no shortage of beautiful historic wedding venues, but Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania may be one of the most desirable. Morris Arboretum features thousands of varieties of plants and a collection of Philadelphia’s oldest, rarest, and largest trees making it the perfect backdrop for two lovebirds beginning their life together. In addition to a tented outdoor reception area near the 100-year-old carriage house, Morris is home to The Dorrance H. Hamilton Fernery, the only remaining freestanding Victorian fernery in North America and a peaceful space filled with ferns, trickling waterfalls and reflecting pools. It also happens to be one of my favorite places in Philadelphia!
Once again I had the opportunity to partner with Shindig Bespoke on the stationery suite by providing brilliant rose-gold ink calligraphy to the fig colored envelopes.
It was also a joy to create the watercolor washed menus and place cards. They brought a splash of vibrant yet ethereal color to the table, and their placement on the clear glass plates over a bed of ferns was just stunning.
I am always so impressed by the number of talented vendors I meet while participating in styled shoots, but this magnificent fairy-tale wedding cake was created by La Linea Desserts really left me speechless!
