Tallulah Ketubahs began as a strictly custom commissions business, and this continues to be our preferred way of working. By building a relationship with our clients, we are able to help couples, be they Jewish, Secular, Interfaith or Same-sex, create custom works of art that are meaningful to them. We especially enjoy helping couples of different backgrounds and traditions to create a new visual symbol inspired by their unique love story. We begin by having a conversation with you about the type of project you have in mind. We then create several design drafts and make adjustments until you are completely satisfied. The end product is a one-of-a-kind original piece.
If there is a previous custom ketubah design that you are interested in, we can create a semi-custom version for you with details that are specific to your relationship. Semi-customs are hand-painted, or hand-cut for papercut ketubahs, and can be done with hand-lettered calligraphy or a printed font text. Semi-customs begin at $1800. Please allow 8-10 weeks for semi-custom ketubahs.
Full custom commissioned hand-painted and papercut ketubahs begin at $2500. We will work together to create a one-of-a-kind original design that speaks to your relationship . Your text can be hand-lettered using a traditional dip pen and ink, or archivally printed. Your custom illustration will be hand-painted using the highest quality designer gouache paint directly on beautiful Arches 100% cotton rag paper, and 14k gold leafing embellishments can be included as well. Custom papercut ketubahs are meticulously cut by hand. This is a very creative, detailed, and collaborative process, so please allow a minimum of 3 months for Custom Ketubah or Wedding Certificate commissions.
